Then, we must put the olives in a container with water for 15 days at a time. This may seem like a long time, but in all honesty, it is well worth the wait. <strong>This is just one variant of the hundreds of ways to dress olives.</strong>. 							<h2><strong>What is the production and consumption of olives in Spain?</strong></h2><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the other hand, Spain is ranked number one in terms of production and fourth in terms of table consumption. The average world production over the last five seasons amounts to 2,472,700 tonnes, of which 524,700 tonnes were produced in Spain, that is, 21% of the total.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The latter are mainly concentrated in <strong>Andalusia and Extremadura,</strong> which account for 83.77% and 13.74% of the total respectively, i.e. 96.91% of these crops are grown in these two communities.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In spite of this, the table olive has other communities whose cultivation and consumption are becoming notorious around the world. Although other percentages are spread around the world, the Seville olive is one of the most coveted and exported olives in the world, exceeding almost 30%.
