How are stuffed olives made?

In the wide world of stuffed olives, who has never tasted olives stuffed with peppers? There are countless types of this delicacy, but do we know exactly how these olives are made?

How are olives pitted?

In this process, the olives are grouped and introduced into a machine that makes a circular cut around the central area of the olive. Subsequently, a rod with this measure pushes the cut part where the olive stone is located and separates it from the rest. This machine is capable of emptying 900 fruits per minute.

As a curiosity, we would also like to tell you that the waste from olive factories, such as the pits, can be put to greater use. There are already machines for thermal use that use the pits as fuel.

This process can also be done manually at home. With a side cut, taking care not to destroy the fruit, you can remove the stone and leave enough space to fill the olive.

After this step, the olive is ready to be stuffed.
